Cadet application day ay VShips Image by Shipping Wiki |
But luck also plays a vital role, lots of companies require referral to even get inside their office to apply but not all them.
This is the companies that entertained my application as a walk in cadet:
- MAGSAYSAY SHIPMANAGEMENT INC.(MSI)
- NAESS SHIPPING PHILIPPINES INC
- CAREER PHILIPPINES SHIPMANAGEMENT INC
- PACIFIC OCEAN MANNING INC (Your general average should be 83% above)
- AGILE MARITIME RESOURCES INC
- SEABIRD SHIP MANAGEMENT, INC
- WALLEM MARITIME SERVICES INC
- WESTMINSTER SEAFARER MANAGEMENT PHILIPPINES, INC.
- BSM CREW SERVICE CENTRE PHILIPPINES INC
Note: This is as of 2014!
Those are the only companies that entertained me out of over 40 that I've been. Don't worry, your school's Shipboard Training Office(STO) is your greatest referral if you don't have one. Shipping Companies/Manning Agencies will tell your school's STO if they want cadets from your school. So always be updated from your STO for company hirings, the one destined for you might be there.
I made a group for maritime cadets in the Philippines where we can change ideas, know what companies accepts walk-in applicants etc. If you're a cadet you should join right now! They're over 1600 members already!
Tnx

Addition to your list will be GSM in kalaw. they are very kind towards cadet because the fleet manager in that office also struggled during his cadet days and knows how hard it is without referals etc.
