But before a Seafarer can work onboard a vessel, one must undergo several trainings. This includes Basic Training (BT) which is the most essential of them all. BT consist of personal survival techniques at sea as well as the elementary first aid.
In a BT practical, one must jump with a lifejacket from about 15feet high down to the swimming pool. What happens when a seafarer is afraid to jump?
This is normal for first time trainees specifically the cadets, but eventually they will jump after some encouragement or a nice push from the back.
But what about a SEASONED SEAFARER? Well, of course, your fellow seafarers in the practical site will laugh like hell, include the jokes and bullies. Someone in the video even said "Seaman natatakot?" in English "A seafarer, afraid?"
