MARINA Online Appointment Guide

Maritime Industry Authority(MARINA) in collaboration with SeamanJobsite.com launched its online appointment system last September 25, 2015 for the issuance of Seafarer's Identification and Record Book(SIRB), Certificate of Proficiency(COP),Certificate of Competency(COC) and for the scheduling of Licensure Examination.

As of my experience, setting an appointment is much faster than walk-in application processing. In this article, I will show you how to set an appointment step by step process.

  1. Go to http://marinaappointment.com/marina/ and click "Set Appointment."
    Step 1
  2.  Select the document you wish to apply for.

    Step 2

    Step 2

  3.  Fill up all the information required.

    Step 3

    Step 3

  4. After you submit the form, it will prompt you to review all the details before proceeding. You can go back and edit if you wish to do so.
    Step 4

  5.  Once you proceed, you will see a page like this. You are now scheduled to an appointment.
    Step 5
  6. Step 5
  7. Now you have two options to download your application form. First you can download it at the bottom of the page at step 5
Step 6

or you can download it to the email you for the application.

Step 6
7. Print both files you downloaded and you're good to go.

Note:
  • Arrive 30 minutes before the appointment time or else they won't entertain you.
  • Be sure you bring the printed application form and the required documents.
  • Xerox all requirements before going to the appointment. Don't do it there, you'll be surprised how long the queue is!
  • Don't forget to bring money for the payment!
    Regular = PHP200
Expedite = PHP400(You need flight details, contract details and letter from your agency to avail this service)
  • Bring your own uniform(Plain white polo shirt or type A polo) to save PHP25 for the rent. You need to be in formal attire for the picture taking.
  • Bring coins, you'll need to pay another PHP25 for the documentary stamp.

  1. I think OLC is different from OIC updating. I have visited STCW's fb page and they said OLC is still under bidding guidelines but they do have OIC updating. Please read the comment below from Marina.
