"Hindi ako tatakbo ng presidente, wala akong ambisyong maging presidente. In 2016, I will retire from public life for good" roughly in English "I will not run for the presidency, I don't have the ambition to become the president. In 2016, I will retire from public life for good." Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte stated in a press conference in Grand Meng Seng hotel in Davao on Monday (September 7).
Duterte apologized to the supporters, investors, and everyone who believed in him all along. OFWs have solid support on him including the Filipino Seafarers believing he is the kind of man the Philippine needs these days.
Davao City Mayor's statement left netizens and OFWs nothing but disappointment and loss of hope.
