Are you wondering which is the best Maritime School in Asia? Where is it located at? You came to the right place! Presenting the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific(MAAP).

Founded on January 14, 1998, by former Associated Marine Officers' and Seamen's Union of the Philippines(AMOSUP) head Capt. Gregorio S. Oca, the MAAP became a very competitive school during its few years of operation. It rose to the ranks and then later crowned as the top Maritime School in the Philippines and also in Asia, earning recognitions and accreditations from different organizations such as DNV, International Organization for Standardization(ISO) and Local Government institutions like Maritime Industry Authority(MARINA) and Commission on Higher Education(CHED).

The Academy's Cadets were sponsored by Shipping Companies from International Mariners Management of Japan(IMMAJ ), International Maritime Employer's Council(IMEC) and others. As such, the cadets' expenses are shouldered, except for their uniform and personal expenses.

Moreover, the Academy's graduates never cease to amaze everybody. Board examination passing rates range from 95% in the deck dept. to 98% in the engine department. MAAP also took the number 1 spot for the Philippine Maritime Schools Ranking in 2015 based on the Licensure Examination results.
